Lysandra Callahan is a Clinical Research Nurse for Angelman syndrome at the Centre for Clinical Trials in Rare Neurodevelopmental Disorders, Children’s Health Queensland. She is a Registered Nurse with seven years of paediatric emergency experience and continues to work across both roles.
Lysandra also has personal experience as a parent of a young adult living with Angelman syndrome, which informed her interest in nursing and work in rare neurodevelopmental disorders. She holds a Bachelor of Nursing and a Graduate Certificate in Paediatric, Child and Youth Health.
Her combined professional and personal experience informs her approach to working with families and clinicians involved in the Angelman syndrome community.
